Land Rover Series 1 88" 1957

First registered on the 18th November 1957.

(3 Owners from new)

In Bronze green with khaki canvas.
The vehicle is MOT'd until August 2015 even though it is MOT exempt we like to have our vehicles MOT'd so that we know they are save and that nothing has failed over the winter months. This vehicle is also Tax Exempt.
It still has it's 2 litre petrol engine. Which is a very good runner that starts first time ever time. It pulls with plenty of power and never misses a beat. Mechanically this Land Rover is very good. Gearbox is excellent and quiet. Prior to our ownership this Land Rover had been stored for 15 years, although it was started up every 6 months. Fortunately the clutch never stuck but the only think that needed doing was the brakes as one or two of the master cylinders had seized. It had even been stored on axle stands and the wheels taken off by the previous owner that's how much he cherished it.

This Land Rover is one that has clearly been very well looked after over the years with the previous owner owning it for the last 29 years, in his ownership he has done some restoration work to keep it up to standard. It was stripped back to the chassis and had a full restoration including a respray inside and out. It drives very well for a Land Rover and as it's an 88" there is plenty of leg room and it is definitely one of the most comfortable series 1's to drive.

The vehicle is still currently sorned as we haven't used it, it's just been stored away at the back of the garage.

The hood is quite new and doesn't need any attention. As you can see from the pictures the bodywork is very straight for a Land Rover, when you come to view the Land Rover you can appreciate that the previous owner really took the time to get the details right when he restored it. Inside it is very clean the rear tub were the bench seats would go has hardly any dents unlike most Land Rover's, it hasn't had a very hard life.

Any inspection or questions welcome, please remember this a 57 year old Land Rover!
