Land Rover Series 1 80" 1953 with 26,000 Miles from New
This vehicle was first sold as an RHD export to Kenya and it was imported back into Kent in 1964. It was then parked up in the 70's the previous owner to ourselves has stored the car since then and due to poor storage the bulkhead has deteriorated. However the vehicle is in beautiful condition and has great patina the clutch and brake pedals are hardly worn, gear lever still has original paint. It is even still fitted with Dunlop T28 tyres on the rear which we assume are it's first set and then it had replacement Dunlops on the front when it came back to the Uk. It also has indicators fitted at that time when it required a Mot to go back on the road.
Vehicles like this one don't often turn up anymore and therefore we have decided to recommission this one and preserve it as much as we can. The bulkhead shall be repaired and not replaced, brakes overhauled it has had a new clutch and we got it to run and again and it ticks-over perfectly as it has done such a low mileage. There is absolutely no wear in the bores and so it has just had new piston rings.
This vehicle will not be offered for sale in the near future and is going into our own private collection.
