Land Rover Series 3 88" Lightweight V8 Conversion

Land Rover Series 3 88" Lightweight Very Clean has undergone restoration work.
Upgraded engine to a 3.5 liter V8 with range rover diffs. Has servo brakes and very good steering. This is one of the best Series 3 lightweights that has been made a lot more drive-able. It will go anyway and cruises at 60mph without very low revs.
It was first registered on the 24th May 1983.
Finished in Olive Green with matching wheels, just how a Land Rover should be.
Mot's dating back show that the vehicle has not covered many miles in the last 15 years. It was off the road for 10 years whilst undergoing restoration work. It has only been taken to shows by the previous owner.
Over the years this Land Rover has always been well looked after and it's great to see a Land Rover in such good working condtion. There is no question that from the condition of the vehicle that the restoration work was done to a very high standard the bulkhead is immaculate as they have made alrterations to fit the 3.5 V8 engine in. It has just had a new canvas from Undercover Covers at a cost of over £250.
The engine is an excellent runner and starts on the button without fail. It has loads of power and the Land Rover really does drive very well with a quite gearbox and quite a smooth ride as everything has settled in and so mechanically it is excellent. The clutch is also very good and seems to have been replaced at some time. It has servo brakes fitted and unlike most and Rovers it really does stop well and doesn't pull either way. The gearing is perfect and it won't require an overdrive to be fitted the range rover diffs have suited it perfectly.
The Land still retains it's original black seats which considering it's age are in very good usable condition. The rear tub inside has hardly any dents in it which is quite unusual for a Land Rover this shows that the use it has had over the years has only been light. The engine bay is very tidy, the conversion is one of the best we have seen where they have made the oil filter very accessible.
