Land Rover Series 1 80" 1952
The vehicle had some restoration work some 20 years ago before it was dry stored. The chassis is in very good condition and the only noticeable welding is on the front dumb iron a common place. It retains it's original rear crossmember and the chassis is still in bronze green as it should be. The bulkhead is only so invert good condition these major components would bot require much work if any for restoration. The bodywork is very straight and as you will notice it has earlier 1948/1949/1950/1951 wings which are in two pieces these wings are very good original examples made out of the correct birmabright material not like reproduction ones which are of thinner gauge and are more likely to dent when leant on. It has it's correct and original della lamps, trafficators and bakelite horn push all of which are usually replaced over the years. The dash panel has all the correct clocks, switches and warning lights again something that you don't often find. The vehicle also comes with a spare rear body and it's original one piece wings.
The engine does turn over freely and apart from a missing carburettor I am confident would run again even the fuel tank is spotless. It is the original engine for the car engine number being 26100374. It has the correct date stamped radiator which shows it was built in September 1951. It even has an original exhaust with the welded on heat shields.
